Best Online Immigration Services 2026: 4 Providers Compared

Each immigration form preparation service reviewed on its own: what it costs, how much attorney help you get, and what its guarantee really pays back.

Four of the best online immigration services in 2026 are Immiva, CitizenPath, Boundless and SimpleCitizen. They differ most in price, in how much a lawyer is involved, and in what their guarantees refund.

An applicant compares four online immigration service options on a laptop beside a document checklist and folder

Disclosure: Immiva publishes this guide and is one of the four services reviewed. We checked every price and policy below on each provider's own website on October 23, 2026. We did not buy the other services or test their forms, so this compares published offers, not hands-on results.

Picking among the best online immigration services comes down to two questions. Do you want to file the packet yourself, or have a company assemble and mail it? And do you want a lawyer to look at your case, or software that checks your answers? Each answer points to a different service, and the price gap is wide. The same citizenship application costs $199 at one provider and $699 at another.

The short version:

  • Immiva: best for applicants who want to file themselves, with a free eligibility check, validators on every answer and the full results shown before they pay. Citizenship: $199.
  • CitizenPath: best for low per-form prices and a guarantee that can also reimburse USCIS fees. Citizenship: $199.
  • Boundless: best if you want a company to assemble and mail the packet, with an attorney tier on top. Citizenship: $699.
  • SimpleCitizen: best if you want an independent attorney to review your application inside a tiered package. Citizenship: $249 to $615.

The best online immigration services at a glance

All prices are preparation fees, checked October 23, 2026. USCIS filing fees are always separate and are listed on the official USCIS fee schedule (Form G-1055).

How to read the prices: SimpleCitizen shows Essentials / Enhanced / Professional. Boundless shows Essential / Premium, lists its I-751 service as starting at $449, and does not publish a Premium I-751 price. The marriage packages also differ in which forms they include, so compare the form list, not only the headline number.

How we compared these services

Each provider gets its own chapter, in the same order:

  1. Best for: the applicant it fits.
  2. What you pay: published prices, and when the charge happens.
  3. What you get: how the work gets done and what you receive.
  4. Legal help and guarantee: who looks at your case and what the refund covers.
  5. Strengths and things to check.

Every fact comes from the provider's own pricing, product and policy pages. We left out review scores and approval-rate claims, because none of them can be checked independently. Immiva goes first because we publish this guide, and you should see our offer in the same detail as everyone else's.

1. Immiva

Best for: applicants who want to prepare their own application with software that checks every answer against USCIS requirements, and who want to see every result before paying anything.

What you pay

Immiva charges one flat fee per application, with no subscription (Immiva pricing):

  • Citizenship (N-400 preparation): $199
  • Removing conditions (I-751 preparation): $149, joint filing or waiver
  • Family petition (I-130): $149. Adjustment of status (I-485): $249
  • I-130 and I-485 filed together: $299, with a work permit added for $69 or a travel document for $69
  • Fiance(e) visa (K-1 petition, Form I-129F): $149
  • Spouse visa bundle (I-130, I-130A and I-129F for K-3): $249
  • Work permits: H-4 $99, J-2 $99, L-2 $99, OPT $99, or with a pending green card $99
  • H-4 status plus work permit (I-539 + I-765): $199
  • Green card renewal (I-90): $99. Travel documents (I-131): $99

When you pay: at the very end. The eligibility check, every question, all the validator results and the full read-back of your application are free. You pay once, only when you decide to download your packet. If you don't like what you see, you walk away owing nothing.

What you get

A free eligibility check before anything else. The free eligibility check answers the question most people start with: can I file yet? It takes about two minutes and 6 to 8 plain questions, with no account and no card. It covers 15 filing goals, from citizenship and the I-751 to K-1 and K-3 petitions and H-4, J-2, L-2, OPT and C9 work permits. You get a clear answer (eligible now, or the date you will be), any red flags in your history explained, and a starting document checklist. It looks at things like your years as a green card holder, trips abroad, and whether an H-1B spouse has an approved I-140.

One set of answers fills every form. You answer each question once, and Immiva puts it on every form that needs it. The marriage green card packet shows this best: one questionnaire fills up to six USCIS forms (I-130, I-130A, I-485, I-864, plus the I-765 and I-131 add-ons). The K-3 bundle fills the I-130, I-130A and I-129F together. The H-4 bundle fills the I-539, the I-765 and an I-539A for each child. No address gets typed twice, and no date ends up different on two forms.

Validators behind every answer. Immiva runs every answer through at least two checks as you type, compared against the USCIS instructions, and the finished application is checked again as a whole. Each packet has its own validators:

  • N-400: 22 checks, including physical presence counted to the day, continuous residence, the three-month district rule, and eight good moral character areas such as taxes, Selective Service and past arrests.
  • I-751: your 90-day filing window to the day, a filing basis that matches your joint or waiver route, and birth dates checked against marriage and residence dates.
  • I-129F (K-1): both partners free to marry, the in-person meeting within two years, five-year address and job histories with no gaps, and earlier fiance(e) petitions.
  • H-4 status plus work permit: 12 checks, including the H-1B spouse's approved I-140 or AC21 extension, the C26 category, your I-94 admission and renewal timing.
  • I-130 + I-485: up to 60 checks across four forms, or 66 with both add-ons.

A full report before you pay. You read your whole application back in plain words, with every flag explained and its next step. Then you download the completed forms on the current USCIS edition, a document checklist in packet order, and filing instructions with the exact fee and the right address. The G-1145 for e-notification and a fee payment form are included. Citizenship and I-751 packets are ready to file online through your USCIS account or on paper. Live chat and email support come with every application (how Immiva works).

Immiva gives you the checks without an attorney's hourly bill. It isn't a law firm, so it doesn't give advice on your personal legal situation, and it says so plainly: when a flag needs a lawyer's opinion, the report tells you before you pay.

Immiva also stands behind the forms it prepares. If USCIS rejects your application because of an Immiva preparation error, you get your full Immiva fee back. You claim within 60 days of the rejection notice, and Immiva reviews it within 5 business days.

Strengths and things to check

  • Strong: a free eligibility check for 15 filing goals, validators on every answer, one questionnaire that fills up to six forms, the full report before payment, dedicated workflows for K-1, K-3, H-4, J-2, L-2 and OPT, and prices from $99.
  • Check: you submit the finished packet yourself, online or by mail, and the guarantee refunds Immiva's fee, not USCIS fees.

2. CitizenPath

Best for: self-filers who want low per-form prices and a guarantee that can also pay back government fees.

What you pay

CitizenPath lists one price per package (CitizenPath pricing page, checked October 23, 2026):

  • Citizenship (N-400): $199
  • Removing conditions (I-751): $139
  • Family petition (I-130): $149, with the spouse's I-130A included
  • Adjustment of status (I-485): $279, including the I-130 for concurrent family cases
  • Work permit (I-765): $79
  • Green card renewal (I-90) and travel document (I-131): $99 each
  • Affidavit of support (I-864): $129, plus $30 per I-864A

When you pay: at the end, too. CitizenPath lets you confirm eligibility and finish the questionnaire first, and charges when you're ready to print.

What you get

Like Immiva, CitizenPath is a guided questionnaire that fills in official USCIS forms. It describes its software as attorney-reviewed and alerts you when an answer creates a problem. Packages include personal filing instructions, sample cover letters and affidavits, and live support by phone, chat and email. Printing and mailing the packet to you is optional.

CitizenPath says it is not a law firm and not a substitute for an attorney. The attorney involvement is in how the software was built, not a review of your own case.

If a CitizenPath error leads USCIS to deny your application, it refunds its fee and reimburses government filing fees up to $2,500. You must claim within 30 days of the denial notice. Separately, you can get a full refund within 30 days of purchase if you haven't downloaded your forms. Once you download, that option ends.

Strengths and things to check

  • Strong: the lowest I-751 and general work permit prices of the four, government-fee reimbursement in the guarantee, and phone support.
  • Check: the I-864 is priced separately from the adjustment package (a discount applies to added forms), the guarantee excludes denials tied to inaccurate information you gave or instructions not followed, and the $79 work permit is a general I-765 package, so confirm it covers your category.

3. Boundless

Best for: couples who want a company to assemble the packet and mail it to USCIS, and who may want an attorney consultation and interview prep.

What you pay

Boundless costs more because its staff do more of the work (Boundless individuals, citizenship and removal of conditions pages, checked October 23, 2026):

  • Marriage green card inside the U.S.: $899 Essential, $1,549 Premium
  • Spouse visa from abroad (CR-1 or IR-1): $699 Essential, $1,349 Premium
  • K-1 fiance(e) visa: $699 Essential, $1,349 Premium
  • Citizenship (N-400): $699
  • Removing conditions (I-751): from $449

Monthly plans are available. For the marriage green card, Essential runs $101 a month for 12 months, which adds up to more than the $899 pay-in-full price.

When you pay: at the start. You pay in full, or make your first plan payment, on the day you choose a plan, and Boundless starts work once you sign up. A no-questions refund is only available within 14 days of purchase.

What you get

You fill in an online questionnaire, and Boundless staff check your answers and documents. For citizenship, Boundless says it reviews your responses within four hours and runs four quality checks. Unlike the self-filing services, Boundless prints, assembles and mails the finished application to the government for you. Live support is included, and Boundless says it helps you respond to requests for evidence.

Premium adds one consultation with an immigration attorney, attorney review of your full application, and interview preparation with an attorney. The attorneys work through Boundless Legal LLC, a law firm licensed by the Arizona Supreme Court. Boundless also sells an Ask My Attorney subscription: $79 for 30-minute consultations with affiliated independent attorneys.

If USCIS denies your petition, Boundless refunds what you paid it for that petition. You must ask within 14 days of the denial and include the denial letter. Denials caused by a missed interview or a late response to USCIS are excluded, and government fees are never refunded.

Strengths and things to check

  • Strong: the company assembles and mails your packet, attorney help is a clearly defined upgrade, and payment plans spread the cost.
  • Check: the citizenship price is about 3.5 times the self-filing services, the 14-day claim windows are short, and the approval rates Boundless advertises are its own figures, not independent data.

4. SimpleCitizen

Best for: applicants who want an independent immigration attorney to review their application, inside a package priced by tier.

What you pay

SimpleCitizen shows three tiers: Essentials, Enhanced and Professional (SimpleCitizen pricing page, checked October 23, 2026):

  • Citizenship (N-400): $249 / $389 / $615
  • Removing conditions (I-751): $329 / $439 / $798
  • Marriage green card: $599 / $899 / $1,299
  • Work permit (EAD): $159 / $279 / $469
  • Employment-based green card: $899 / $995 / $1,499

Klarna financing is offered at checkout to qualified buyers.

When you pay: before the work. You buy your tier at checkout, before uploading documents. After that, refunds shrink as you go: 100% if no documents are uploaded, 50% after the attorney review or 90 days after purchase.

What you get

You answer a guided questionnaire and upload your documents. Then you send the application for review by one of SimpleCitizen's partner attorneys. Feedback usually takes 5 to 10 business days, or 2 to 4 if you pay for an expedited review. After you make the changes, SimpleCitizen assembles the package and, depending on your tier, ships it to you ready to sign and mail. SimpleCitizen says the whole process usually takes 2 to 4 weeks. Higher tiers add document translation, attorney consultations and legal help with requests for evidence.

SimpleCitizen is not a law firm. Reviews are done by independent attorneys in its network, and SimpleCitizen notes that what you share with it is not protected by attorney-client privilege. The pricing page is not fully consistent on the entry tier: Essentials is labeled do-it-yourself, with attorney review listed as an upgrade, while the FAQ describes attorney review as part of the standard process. Get the answer for your tier in writing.

If USCIS denies your application because of a SimpleCitizen error, it refunds all of its fees and, for some application types, reimburses USCIS fees up to $3,000. The guarantee excludes denials after you chose not to follow the attorney's suggestions or answered USCIS without SimpleCitizen's help.

Strengths and things to check

  • Strong: an independent attorney reviews your application in the paid tiers, translation and shipping are available, and cases screened out as too complex get a refund for unused services.
  • Check: even the lowest tier costs more than the self-filing services for citizenship and the I-751, the Essentials review question needs a written answer, and the review step adds weeks.

Money-back guarantees compared

Every guarantee pays only when the company's own error caused the problem. None covers a decision based on your eligibility. The terms, checked October 23, 2026, differ in these ways:

ServiceWhat triggers itWhat you get backClaim deadline
ImmivaUSCIS rejects the packet because of an Immiva preparation errorFull Immiva fee60 days from the rejection notice
CitizenPathUSCIS denies the case because of a CitizenPath errorCitizenPath fee plus USCIS fees up to $2,50030 days from the denial notice
BoundlessUSCIS denies the petition, with exclusionsBoundless fees for that petition14 days from the denial
SimpleCitizenUSCIS denies the case because of a SimpleCitizen errorSimpleCitizen fees, plus USCIS fees up to $3,000 for some applicationsNot stated on the guarantee page

Rejection and denial are different events. A rejection happens at the mailroom stage, when USCIS sends a packet back unprocessed for problems like a missing signature, a blank required field or the wrong fee. A denial is a decision made after USCIS reviews the case. Our guide to why USCIS rejects applications covers the common causes. A refund never gets back the months you lose, so the cheapest outcome is a packet that's right the first time.

How to choose the right service for you

Start with your application and the kind of help you want, then match it:

  • You want to file yourself and keep costs down: Immiva or CitizenPath. For citizenship, Immiva charges $199 and CitizenPath $199. For the I-751, CitizenPath charges $139 and Immiva $149, and CitizenPath's guarantee can reimburse USCIS fees. Immiva's $299 marriage packet already includes the I-864 when your case needs it, and you pay only after seeing every check result. Our guide to the cheapest way to file the N-400 breaks down the full cost.
  • You need an H-4, J-2 or L-2 work permit: look for a workflow built for your category. Immiva prices them at $99 (H-4), $99 (J-2) and $99 (L-2). A general I-765 package elsewhere may still work, but ask first. See filing an H-4 EAD without a lawyer.
  • You want someone else to assemble and mail it: Boundless Essential, or a SimpleCitizen tier that ships the finished packet to you.
  • You want a lawyer to look at your case: Boundless Premium, a SimpleCitizen tier with attorney review, or your own attorney. Our immigration lawyer cost guide shows typical fees.
  • You need a legal opinion: questions about a past removal order, an arrest, or whether you qualify at all call for an attorney's advice, whichever preparation service you use. Our posts on whether you need a lawyer for the I-751 and the I-485 explain where that line sits.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on the form. For citizenship, Immiva charges $199 and CitizenPath $199. For the I-751, CitizenPath charges $139 and Immiva $149. For a marriage green card filed inside the U.S., Immiva's I-130 and I-485 packet is $299, against CitizenPath's $279 package plus a separately priced I-864. For a K-1 fiance(e) petition, Immiva charges $149 and CitizenPath $149, against $699 at Boundless. All four charge USCIS fees on top.

Yes. CitizenPath has been in business since 2014, publishes its prices and guarantee terms, and describes itself plainly as a form preparation company, not a law firm. It is a legitimate preparation service that does not act as your legal representative.

CitizenPath is self-service software: you answer questions, download the forms and mail them yourself, for $199 on citizenship. Boundless staff check your file and mail it for you, and Premium adds attorney time, for $699 on citizenship. The difference pays for the handling and the attorney time. The forms themselves are the same.

Premium does: one attorney consultation, attorney review of your application and interview preparation with an attorney. Essential includes a review of your forms and documents, assembly, mailing and support. For a single question, Boundless also sells $79 Ask My Attorney consultations.

Enhanced and Professional clearly do. Essentials is labeled do-it-yourself on the pricing cards, while the FAQ describes attorney review as standard. Ask SimpleCitizen to confirm in writing before you buy.

Immiva and CitizenPath prepare the packet, and you submit it yourself. Immiva's citizenship and I-751 packets can be filed online through your USCIS account or on paper (how Immiva works). Boundless mails it to the government for you. SimpleCitizen ships it to you, depending on your tier, ready to sign and send.

No. Every price in this guide is a preparation fee. You pay USCIS separately, using the amounts on the USCIS fee schedule. Our guide on how to pay USCIS filing fees covers payment methods, and the green card cost calculator adds up the totals.

No. None of these services changes how long USCIS takes. A clean packet avoids delays from rejections and requests for evidence, but the wait itself depends on your form and office. Check current estimates on the official USCIS processing times page.

Which of the best online immigration services fits you

The best online immigration services differ less in their forms than in how much help comes with them. If you want to file yourself, Immiva and CitizenPath cost a fraction of the full-service options, and Immiva adds a free eligibility check, validators on every answer and the full report before you pay anything. If you want a company or a lawyer involved, Boundless and SimpleCitizen sell that help openly. Pick the level of help you need, and check the guarantee terms before you buy.
