BEFORE YOU FILE
The I-129F for a K-3 goes after the I-130. Mail the I-130 first. When its receipt notice (Form I-797C) arrives, usually 2 to 4 weeks later, mail the I-129F with a copy. If you already filed an I-130, send the I-129F with a copy of your receipt notice.

Requirements, timing, fees, and how the K-3 compares with the CR-1 and IR-1.
A nonimmigrant visa for the spouse of a U.S. citizen, issued abroad after USCIS approves the I-129F. It lets your spouse enter while the I-130 is pending.
You are a U.S. citizen, legally married to your spouse, who is outside the United States. The I-130 for your spouse is mailed first, then the I-129F, and your spouse is admissible.
Three stages: USCIS decides the I-129F, the National Visa Center processes the case, then the consulate holds the interview. Check USCIS processing times for each. See USCIS processing times
Not reliably. If USCIS approves the I-130 first, the K-3 case is closed and your spouse continues on a CR-1 or IR-1 and arrives with a green card. The bundle includes the I-130.
If you only want the immigrant visa, file the I-130 on its own. If your spouse is already in the U.S., see our Adjustment of Status package. See the Adjustment of Status package
A K-1 is for a fiancé(e) you have not married yet. A K-3 is for a spouse you have already married. See the K-1 fiancé(e) visa
The same form used for the K-1 fiancé(e) visa. This page is the spouse route: it asks for K-3 status and needs a filed I-130.
Form I-130 is $675 by mail or $625 filed online. Form I-129F has no USCIS fee when it is filed for K-3 status based on your Form I-130. Confirm the current amounts on the USCIS fee schedule before you file.
Yes. Form I-130A collects your spouse’s address and employment history. We add it to your package and fill it from the same answers.
Immiva's fee is $249, paid once, after you see the report. It covers all three forms and your document list. USCIS fees are separate.
